COACHING TESTIMONIALS:

“I take this opportunity to write a testimonial about my wonderful coach Angelina Ramos. Ever since I moved from Ethiopia to Colorado, I was always thinking about becoming a fast runner. That dream came true the day I met you. You saw me running and called my name and said..good job, Mesfin.I did not know you were a coach until I found out later. You asked me if I had a coach and I replied no. You promised to coach me for free. You gotta be the nicest person on earth to do something like this and you did because you are the nicest person on earth . I was new and life wasn’t easy for me. Angelina helped me to overcome my challenges and to do what I love, to become a better runner. She picked me up and drove me to the mountains, to the track, showed me how to do drills, then after a couple of months of training we went to Seattle, Washington for USATF club nationals championship and she covered my expenses and said, “Your seed time is the slowest but you ain’t got nothing to loose.so just go for it-I believe you can be on the podium and you will-race for it. I did what you said and I ran 3.56@1500m and 1.56@800m that day and I won medals. Then training got more serious and in 2015, we returned to USATF Club nationals the following year targeting a 1st place finish. Leading up to it, I ran 3.53@road mile at 5,000 feet altitude, 25.05@8k xc at sea level in Kansas,1.54 800m at altitude, and finally, when we got to New York and raced USATF Club championships at Randall’s Island Icahn Stadium, I got a huge personal best of 3.50@1500m (usatf club nationals record) and took 1st place! If you see a young beautiful lady on the track yelling splits during a race, that’s Angelina Ramos. You hear her before you see her. If you see a beautiful young lady hugging and cheering runners, that’s her, if you see someone pulling snacks and fruits and drinks from her bag and giving to runners ,that’s the one and only Angelina. I may not be a coach or have a science degree, but she made me know about running explaining every little thing…why and how we do it. She coached me from a 5 minute miler with no running background (I was a jumper in Ethiopia) to becoming a 3:50 1500m runner in two years! She always tells me she believes in me and I will be better than I am. That fills me with hope and energy.” -Mesfin Haftu Ferede (2015 Gold Medalist, 1500m, USATF Club Track Outdoor Championships)

“Few times in my life have I met a shining light as bright as Angelina Ramos. Angelina holds an extremely unique and valuable mix of high-level intelligence, a keen awareness of social psychology and a seemingly insatiable desire to serve and help others. This combination, not easily found, is what makes Angelina such an amazing coach in sports and in life. Angelina empowers people. She is an expert in identifying a path for success, personal to each and every person she works with, both athletically and professionally. Whether you are in need of a running, writing or career/life coach, do not give up the opportunity to work with Angelina, to help lead you towards your potential. Your life will be enriched.”-Amy Manson, Trainer/ Implementation Manager, The Positive Coaching Alliance

I first met Angelina four years ago at a track meet, where she was outgoing, friendly, happy, and full of encouragement from the moment we met. I was a newbie masters runner, looking to learn and improve my running. Angelina has been a tremendous coach and friend, helping me create a unique training plan specific to my goals. My training plans take into account my overall lifestyle – a busy job, full single parenting schedule, and constantly shifting life demands. Working with Angelina as my coach and mentor, I saw HUGE gains – multiple PRs, All-American in the mile, improved pacing, improved fitness, and overall endurance while racing. She has helped me move forward through injury and illness to come back a little stronger, wiser, and more focused with each new season. Angelina goes above and beyond to coach, mentor and help others thrive in all areas of their life – personally, athletically, professionally. She gives with all her heart and soul. Her enthusiasm, caring, and passion to help others succeed knows no boundaries.
